Resident surprised to find screen door kicked in: Brooklyn Police Blotter - cleveland.com

Criminal damage, Ira Avenue: On Feb. 25, an Ira Avenue resident called police after making a startling discovery.

The man noticed someone kicked in his front screen door. An arriving officer talked to the caller, who said despite the damaged door nobody entered the home.

There are no suspects. Police are investigating.

Warrant, Brookpark Road: On Feb. 24, police observed a man at a Brookpark Road auto dealership.

Due to recent break-ins in the area, the officer approached the man, who refused to identify himself.

It turned out the Lakewood resident had an active warrant from Maple Heights police. He was arrested and held for transport.

Suspicious activity, Ridge Road: On Feb. 24, police observed a silver Chevy Malibu, which had plates that returned as a felony vehicle with armed and dangerous occupants.

After talking to the driver, the officer determined the vehicle hadn’t been removed from LEADS. The driver and occupant were released from the scene.
